For me, it's The Losers, The Boys, and any of the animated DC and Marvel ones (but esp. Batman/Superman).

So what's your personal choice? :D

Oh, and I'm curious to see what they do with Green Lantern, even though I'm not really a big fan...

Is anyone making a movie of Preacher? Wouldn't mind that though I think it would have to be toned down a little. Apart from that I would like to see a hiatus on Superhero movies even though I enjoyed Iron Man, Hulk and the Spiderman films. There's just been too many of them.

Yip, you'd need to Google it for more info, but Sam Mendes of American Beauty and Road To Perdition (itself a comic) fame is looking at filming Preacher after a TV series fell through IIRC.

You've no chance of seeing a hiatus on superhero movies I'm afraid - the Iron Man and Hulk films you mentioned were designed to be part of the build-up to the Avengers movie, meaning you'll also see Captain America and Thor movies ;)

Re. Spider-man. Love Sam Raimi, but I think his Spider-man movies are dull at best  . He's currently looking at the script drafts for the fourth IIRC...

Last I heard Kenneth Branagh was going to be directing Thor - The Movie. I wonder if he's come to his senses yet. I don't think that Thor will translate to film as well as, say, Spiderman or Iron Man. I used to love the comic many years ago but the dialogue will be a bit of a problem.

I understand that there is not going to be a third Fantastic Four movie after all :(

Yeah, still Branagh, and I believe they've selected someone who's a relative newcomer for Thor. I've only started reading Thor in the UK comics, and the dialogue is my main issue with the strips. They're not bad, but I wouldn't go and buy any of the graphic novels ;)

I still haven't got round to watching FF4 part 2 yet...

Preacher is so right for an adaptation, and it's been talked about since I first read the series, some 6-7 years ago.
I'm intrigued by the Capt. America, Thor and Avengers titles that are being promised.
Mainly to see how they're going make them not suck.

Make them watch all the crap ones and say...."Don't do this!"

Daredevil! Elektra! Ghost Rider! Constantine! League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen!

And get the casting right. There was really no way Ben Affleck was going to be a convincing Daredevil (though he has the chin for it), Nic Cage was never going to carry off Ghost Rider (he's simply not a leading man) and don't get me started on Keanu Reeves as John Constantine.

Keanu Reeves as anything really.

He single-handedly ruined The Matrix.

He's quite good as a target for urine bottles during Dogstar gigs I hear.

Yeah keanu reeves wasn't the best person to go for constantine.

I want CONAN! And not some silly pretty-boy type person. I want someone looking like this:

^ Apparently that's the sort of thing they're aiming for CW, but the director strikes me as a bit of a hack:

GI Joe was a comic book at one point, and it'll need to be so cheesy as to be brilliant, but here's the trailer anyway:

:?

I know what you mean, the Cap look and tone doesn't always work in the comics never mind onscreen, and it's the same with Thor :?

Keanu Reeves did not ruin the Matrix. That's incredibly harsh. Also, Daredevil happens to be a reasonably good movie. The directors cut actually makes it even better.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Marvel can pull out of the bag. I'm not enough of a geek to care if they get it "right" with Cap America, Thor or Avengers, but I am excited for 9 movies of Sam Jackons Nick Fury and the continuing crossover situation.

I'm also very much excited for the next installments in the Supes and Bat reboots. The baseball field standing ovation in Returns is one of my most feel-good, exciting movie moments ever.

There's talk of a live-action TMNT (though with possible CGI Turtles) that I'd quite like to see, now that I think of it... :D

It's not about getting it 'right' with some of the Marvel characters, it'll be getting them to work onscreen at all in many cases. That's just my opinion... I'm interested to see what Jackson does too.

I couldn't even sit through 15 whole minutes of Superman Returns I was that bored with it, but I'm definitely looking forward to a new Batman :D

If they keep the feel of the darker Eastman & Laird turtles, that could work. Once you got past the whole 'giant mutated ninja turtle' bit, some of the stories were really good.
