Post subject:  CC is pretty appy with his iPhone.

Well I have lived with this baby for a couple of days now. Mobile Safari is taking a bit of getting used to but everything else I am finding pretty intuitive.

I have looked at most of the built in stuff and I am well impressed. It is great as an iPod. Press the button an say "play album Frank" and seconds later distinctive tones of Amy Winehouse are in your lugholes.

I have installed a lightsabre app and Shazam, a spirit level and a flashlight, a Twitter client and a retro dialer. It seems silly but I just love the retro dialer. I am on the lookout now for other great apps. So if ant of you iPod Touch or iPhone users have any recommendations I would be happy to hear them.

ereader for ebooks
tvguide for mmm can you guess :lol:
scifiwire for scfi news n stuff
skynews for well news
Arvale 1 & 2 for great rpgs
Solebon for solitare fun (loads of differing types)

Mr Edd is developing a Flickr application, which I want to be the first person to download and put on miPhone.
I'll be getting the Facebook app and maybe Skype, other than those, I'm not sure I want anything else.

twitterfon is good as well
You can also get rdp & vnc apps
Can't remember the rest of the apps I use as mines broke

I have an app called "ShoopingList", which is useful as I don't have to find any paper to write my shopping list down on, and I don't have to remember to take a pen with me to cross off items I've bought.

I use IM+ when in meetings to chat to people on MSN, it does a few other IM services too.

I've got some games as well, all paid for:
Pocket God
The Sims 3
Spore (The purple one likes this)

And some free games:
TapDefense
Topple
Lemonade
Rectangles

I've got a few that are useful for networking and stuff, but probably of no interest the the forum Cat :P

An Ereader seems like a must have. I will have to find a nice one. Shopping list sounds like a good idea too. I was going to use notes but a dedicated app. would be better.

By the way my cable modem died today so these posts are all fromy iPhone. It is not quite as quick but is very useable. I am missing the Macs global spelling checker though.

Eucalyptus is a very nice app, if you're interested in the classics.

Jailbreak it and enjoy free apps.

I did with my iTouchyourPod. Its brilliant, and only took like a half hour from start to finish. Cydia is awesome, too! :)

ShoppingList by Wener Freytag allows you to edit the units, it doesn't save them though :(

As long as you're not enjoying free apps which should be paid for, my mate had downloaded Monopoly for free (when you're supposed to pay for it), I gave him a slap for that, he should know better doing a computing course.
