I have had those - I send the No to a vodafone (who I am with) anti span number and they arrange to block them across all of thier network. Most mobile operators have similar schemes

Since you can spoof the number you're texting from, I'm not sure what use really is.

Shouldn't you only get messages like that if you are already a Tesco credit card user? Though I never give out my mobile number for any purpose. Even so I seemed to get loads of PPI or Accident claims SMS, even though it has been many years since an accident.

I assume the PPI, injury clam and pizza type texts I get are because my mobile number wasn't new to me, or perhaps they just power-dial every possible number.

Although Tesco do have my number! They text me with a more accurate delivery time once they've worked out the driver's schedule, rather than the two hour slot I actually book.

I've not heard from Svetlana for ages though Maybe she found her man?

Same here. If it narrows the time of waiting down then it could be useful.

The text I received was at 9:40 am on the day of delivery, and said "your order has ben scheduled for delivery between 4:04 PM and 5:05 PM", compared to the original slot of 3PM to 5PM. He arrived at approximately 17:04:22 although his notes told him he was expected to arrive at 16:48:30

I'd obviously planned to be in anyway, but it's nice to know.

The other reason I use Tesco is that their substitution policy is good for customers. ASDA's is a joke.

Really? I've never had a problem with Asda. In fact I've had some right good bargains for substitutes. I find Tesco make some very daft subs rather too often...

My Asda substituted venison sausages with pork. Plus you can only block all substitutions or accept all. Plus the last delivery they failed to deliver 4 items even though charged for it. It has happened on both of my last orders. Tesco do not charge more for a more expensive substitution, Asda does.

Unless they've changed their policy very recently, Asda charge the price of what you ordered or what was delivered whichever is cheaper - the same as Tesco.
I've had missing items from both stores. Yesterday it was my Rizlas. Luckily I have enough, but I've had to email them about it. Neither store quibles so it's just an annoyance, the same as out-of-stock or poor substitutes which I've found both to be pretty equal at.

Sainsbury's do charge for more expensive substitution, although sometimes they'll just let you keep them rather than take them back.

The main reason I tend not to shop at Asda is simply that they don't stock everything I want. They do score bonus marks for having the only hot lady delivery driver I've seen! Her name was Natasha, but I never got her email.

Perhaps this should be split off into another thread before we all forget about poor Svetlana

But if you have a Natasha why do you need a Svetlana?
