Post subject:  John Carter (or Mars) Teaser
John Carter is a story from Edgar Rice Burroughs (the man who brought is Tarzan). Ignoring the Asylum film, there is to be a proper movie out next year. Here is the teaser.

Not sure WHAT that was, but it didn't look like no John Carter movie.

Mars looked more like Wyoming

I can understand that certain things had to be changed - the Martians not wearing clothes for one thing but from that they looked too human. The description of Deja Thoris in the novel "Her skin was of a light reddish copper color, against which the crimson glow of her cheeks and the ruby of her beautifully molded lips shone with a strangely enhancing effect."

I am always happy to be proved wrong in these circumstances but I don't hold out much hope. A pity as there is a great series of films in these books.
