no? Definitely going to see Mary Poppins at the New Amsterdam Theater and walking around Central Park, not sure about anything else, though I'll probably end up taking a long-exposure shot on the Empire State... |

There is always the top of the Empire State building, though I prefer the look of the Chrysler building in terms of appearance. You could get free tickets to the Letterman show as that is filmed there. If you have an iPhone or iPad load up on free travel apps. Many are US centric and will find cheap restaurants to go to. Considering so many films were filmed there google locations if that is your thing. |

If I were to go I'd want to see: Times Square Empire State Building Grand Central Terminal Chrysler Building Central Park (and zoo) Rockefeller Centre I'm sure there's loads of other stuff but they're the tick boxes of 'must-sees' for me. |

The best of the best cafe down near Brooklyn bridge is worth a visit. Get yourself a city pass if you're going to see the sights. It saves a fortune. The MOMA is worth a visit, so is the Guggenheim. Chelsea is nice, if you like walking then you can quite easily ealk from time square all the way down through Chelsea etc to the Brooklyn bridge, although I'd get the subway back up though. |

Was over there last spring Try http://www.hotwire.com to find good hotels at reasonable prices althouhg like london in NY you gte what you pay for Get a Metro pass (7 day) as it will give you unlimited travel on the metro and its worth it even if you are not there for the full 7 days When getting from the airport (which one do you fly in from and at what time?) you can get shuttle buses to from major deistinations - cheaper than taxis and less hassell than the train We went to Times Square Grand Central Terminal Chrysler Building Rockefeller Centre From the Rockereller Centre you get a good view of the empire state. If you book you can have cocktails near the top of ther Rockefeller and thats worth it (if a bit pricey) If you are a foodie then there are loads of places to get - let me know and I will send you a list of some of my favs Dont forget that a NY is mainly of a grid system its really easy to get around and quite hard to get lost Also don't forget the bargins you can get for some electronics |

I need a battery tray. Can I ask you to order me one while you're there and bring it back in your luggage? ![]() |

And another The Staten Island Ferry - its free and gives you a good view of the Statue of Liberty Also when you get across there is a navel yard and if you want you can look - at a distance - at some pretty impressive ships (if they are in) |

Also go to Ellis Island. When I was there in 1998 I went to a baseball game. It went on a bit but there was a great atmosphere. |
