You have two independent safety lines. I've done far worse, and I'm seriously scared of heights. I'd rather do that than stand on a chair!

One thing I've noticed is as you get older, falling down hurts more. When I was 10 I could fall 30' down a near vertical bank and think it was fun

I would. Can you take a camera?

There was one glued to his head - I think it's part of the deal.

Yeah, looks pretty tame. I bet it's a lovely view though.

IIRC, the falling was always fairly painless. The abrupt stop at the bottom however...

I would jump out and swing on the rope if they let you :) piss easy. Now, without the harness... no chance.

I wonder if any BASE jumpers have tried to get up there?

Yep, that's what'd get me up there too.
Wow. What an experience that'd be.

Been up the tower years ago. It's.......................high. The lift took ages. Don't think I could bring myself to go out on the ledge, even if the brain says "i'm tied on " the body would say NO!

Highest I've ever been was the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. Was awesome, but I cacked myself because of the shape of it and how the glass leans out over the base. Pretty cool though!

This looks like a hell of an experience.

Not sure what the highest structure I've stood on would be. The top cross beam of the Humber Bridge watching a fella abseil off the side of it in a really high wind was fun though.

Yes, I've been to the Stratosphere just to see the view. I'm no good with heights so stayed well away from the edge. I was horrified to see that there was a small rollercoaster up there too ( ) and one of those rides where you can be fired vertically to the top of a tower. The one that worried me the most was going to the top of the Duomo in Florence. The climb to get there is claustrophobic....very narrow passages with two-way traffic...and though the view is stunning the stonework has been worn down to the point that you are subtly propelled to the edge, or so it seemed. The whole structure was covered in graffiti too which is typical in Italy. I was OK going up the leaning tower of Pisa though even the lean is more extreme than you can gauge from photos.

I'd love to go to New York but I can't look up at tall buildings either. :)

I have been to the observation deck of the Carew tower in Cincinnati. Tallest building in the city.
