Voting will now commence for this month. It will remain open for one week and close on Monday 8th August.

The rules:

* Voting occurs for one week until midnight on the 8th August.

* Please vote for your favourite three images.

* You cannot vote for your own image*

Your 1st choice will be awarded 5 points.
Your 2nd choice will be awarded 3 points.
Your 3rd choice will be awarded 1 point.

If there is a draw on say for example 15 points, then the image with the least number of votes will win, such that an image with 3 votes for 5 points will defeat the image with 5 votes for 3 points. It won't be the '2nd best' for everyone, but it will be the 'best' for the few. If it's good enough for a Grand Prix then it is good enough for here.

Please try and keep this thread for votes only, it will make it easier for me to tally up later. If you must comment on images and decisions then please do so in the original thread (once it is unlocked).

This thread will run for 1 week only. At that time the winner will have the option of choosing the next theme, and the deadline for entries to that theme will be the end of the current month.

Most importantly, good luck to all entrants.

Al

PS - I'm down south tomorrow for a funeral but should be back at the weekend.

1. Reflected Horizon - just because it's not what you'd expect!
2. Dark Horizon - Simple, but nice and graphic
3. Distant Horizon - Nice composition, would maybe benefit from more contrast?

Thought there would have been a few more entries, especially after last month's bumper crop. Saying that, though, I didn't get round to doing a shot so I can't really say anything!

Was thinking more of the oblique references to 'Horizon' when I thought of the topic  Will keep it simple if there's a next time ;)

Well done to those that entered - my first two attempts failed miserably

1. Dark Horizon

2. Distant Horizon

3. Reflected Horizon
