I hate it when this kind of thing happens. I’ve been talking to a company I’ve had a 10 year+ relationship with about a more regular, semi-permanent role. And up to today, it seems that it’s all been going well, and I was just waiting for the written spec to kick me off into action. Just heard that they can’t afford to give me the work, so I’m kind of feeling deflated now.

I’m on holiday from next week, and when I get back I’m going to have to ponder what to do or where to go next. A bummer, and somewhat depressing.

Had this happen a couple of years ago. Decision was made to outsource 90% of the work available to India. Not helpful.
