Voting will now commence for this month. It will remain open for one week and close on Wednesday 7th September.

The rules:

* Voting occurs for one week until midnight on the 7th September.

* Please vote for your favourite three images.

* You cannot vote for your own image*

Your 1st choice will be awarded 5 points.
Your 2nd choice will be awarded 3 points.
Your 3rd choice will be awarded 1 point.

If there is a draw on say for example 15 points, then the image with the least number of votes will win, such that an image with 3 votes for 5 points will defeat the image with 5 votes for 3 points. It won't be the '2nd best' for everyone, but it will be the 'best' for the few. If it's good enough for a Grand Prix then it is good enough for here.

Please try and keep this thread for votes only, it will make it easier for me to tally up later. If you must comment on images and decisions then please do so in the original thread (once it is unlocked).

This thread will run for 1 week only. At that time the winner will have the option of choosing the next theme, and the deadline for entries to that theme will be the end of the current month.

Most importantly, good luck to all entrants.

Al

Yay, lots of entries this month. Anywho, my choices are as follows:

1 - Please help me out - nice focusing there.
2 - I see you - nice bit of macro action. Is that a live spider or just a cast?
3 - You ain't seen me, right? - nice photo and I like the Fast Show reference.

High standard this month.

What a good crop this round. Well done, chaps!

*applause*

A good crop also means it's hard to choose just three, but I managed it by being savage. I don't do savage as a rule.

1. What Lies Above
2. Hidden Watching
3. Visible When Wet

1. Hidden watching - I love this pic, very Big Brother (1984 not the sh!tty tv show!)
2. Please help me out - As already mentioned, great focus.
3. Truck's 20 year hiding spot - I love the lighting and colour in this pic.

There were four or five entries fighting for a podium place this month, which made it tough to choose.

1. Hidden Watching
2. Trucks 20 year...
3. Please Help Me Out

I have it on good authority that it is indeed a real spider in that photo. The anonymous secret photographer who took it also REALLY doesn't like spiders and due to only have a 50mm macro had to get VERY close to it.
