Anyone had problems in the last couple of days? The order tracking seems to have gone a bit t*ts up, and an email says the order may be delayed. As it's a relatively expensive laptop for son who is going back to uni on Sat I'm a bit peeved.

Doesn't surprise me if it's being delivered by Home Delivery Network - BTW: now rebranded as Yodel (brand new name, shiny new logo, but unfortunately the same idiots that leave parcels at the wrong address or lose them altogether). Apparently, it's not true that you can't polish a turd!

On a related note, I've been having problems with Parcelfarce (yes, I do mean farce!) who have so far taken over a week to get my eBay purchase from the other side of town to my work address...and failed! It's already been around Manchester 3 times but not delivered due to "Insufficient address" and "Cannot locate premises" - so it's back to the depot. I rescheduled delivery on 19th and the tracking still says "Delivery Rescheduled" today (the 21st) but its currently being held at the Manchester Depot - wherever the hell that is.

Thing is, when I rescheduled delivery and quoted the tracking code to the automated line, they quoted back to me the post code that it was to be delivered to, and it's correct - so why the hell can the moron driver not find the place?!!! I swear, a trained chimp would be able to find it. Have these people been given lobotomies before they're allowed to deliver parcels?

How hard can it be to put a parcel in a van and drive the 3 miles over town to deliver it? If I have to go over there to collect it, they'll be getting a right old ear-bashing from me.

Apparently it is very hard to do. ;)

My last two Amazon orders have be delivered by Hermes UK. Both on time or early although one was left propped up against the back door (just as well it didn't rain). Still, better than HDNL who would leave stuff propped up against the front door in full view of the street.

Most of my Amazon stuff arrives by the postie. Only large packages tend to come via another courier, and they've usually been delivered on time or within the delivery window.

Same here. In fact I have never had a problem with an Amazon delivery, even from a US Marketplace order. I did have one book arrive much later than the other from the same seller but both within the deadline.

If Amazon send something other than by Royal Mail or City Link I usually have problems.

My order was made Tuesday, and marked as handed over to the courier (Citylink)at 14.20 tue. Got a number emailed which is unlike the usual citylink tracker number. No signs on citylink site, no change in staus on amazon page.

Think it's gone!

Edit: No, it's not gone, arrived today late afternoon. I suppose I'm spoilt by prime which usually works well. No tolerance for delayed gratification any more.
