Using MRI to interpret brain activity and then reverse engineer it into the images you were looking at!

Fricking awesome!

In fact, could this be reverse, reverse engineered and allow for the creation of something like Geordie's visor?

If the images we see can be reproduced from our brain activity then surely you just need to stimulate that brain activity for the brain to "see" the images.

WOAH! Star Trek is fricking real!

It will probably only work with one person. So reversing one persons brain pattern to work out what they were looking at might be quite reliable for something that they have seen before but might be much harder for objects that they have not seen before. Also everyones brain is wired slightly differently so what one person brain scan might identify might be slightly different for another. It could be very useful to see if a person can identify something.

The next logical step is to be able to scan a corpse to see who the murderer was.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

If they just use a hollow head as a projector, they could publicly display the image in colour, I mean that sort of technology has been around since the wild west era, I saw a documentary about it.

Yeah, I saw it too.

They have to turn the image upside down though if I remember correctly.

Why wait for the murder and go straight to pre-crime.
