I genuinely just don't desire things - and especially not the sort of things that others can easily give as a present. So my list consists of:

  1. A flat cap
  2. A pipe
  3. Schnapps
  4. Two full days without having to go anywhere or visit any relatives
How about you? (And yes, I know I'm a curmudgeonly bugger...)

1. Scotch, single malt, any region will do, but my joy would be genuine if it's from Islay.
2. Lots of money.

I desire nothing for my Christmas, nor my birthday in fact.
I'll just be happy pottering about off work for two weeks.

I have an amazon wishlist that's packed with music CDs, but that's really about it. Lego for his Lordship, but a month old is probably a bit young really ;)

Unless we're playing 'Fantasy Gift List Top Trumps' of course.

Funding for a new PVR :) Current one is getting a lot of failed recordings and hard disk errors.

Lego would be nice. I live the stuff, and I find some of really complex kits available incredible.

However, we’re having a reality check this Christmas. Both of us are suffering from pay cuts in one form or another, so I’m being realistic. If I get a bottle of Laphroaig, I’ll be happy.

If a vast pile of money comes my way? Well, it’s a toss up between a Tamron 90mm Macro lens or an ice cream maker. There’s a poll there.

Lynx Africa is probably the only Lynx I can tolerate the smell of. The rest are just horrible. One of my fave deoderants was ProSport which we got through the Avon lady.

New socks and two weeks off will be just fine.

What do I want to get? Anything will be nice. I don't really have anything in particular in mind though.

What will I get? Probably some nice socks or a nice jumper or something. Both if I'm lucky :D

This is the correct answer :D

I don't buy single malts for myself, but I have an unwritten agreement with my best mate that we buy nothing else for each other for birthdays and Christmas. We usually end up drinking it together, so we get to drink what we buy without feeling guilty about the expense

Socks are good too. Just no expensive tat I don't need please, it makes me cry to see potential whisky money being wasted :(
