Post subject:  Looking At Digital Photoframes.

Evening,

My mums birthday is coming up and I want to get her a digital photo frame as she has a digital camera and a slow laptop so it seems like a nice thing to get her. Anyway, looked on amazon and found a Philips 7FF3FPB/05 7" Digital PhotoFrame

Seems fairly good, price isn't too bad, reviews seem good but I'm not overly sure. Got around £50 to spend on this so I want a nice non-crap looking one (as in no rubbish LEDs in the front of it ... long story).

So, do I go for the Philips one or a different one? Suggestions welcome.

I'd have posted something, but I no nothing of such things!

Not a fan of them myself. Although they seem quite cute, they're yet another thing to plug in and the wire limits where you can put it. I prefer to hang pictures on the wall. You can print a lot of images for the price of digital frame.

You can get battery powered wireless ones you know ;)

I also have no experience of them and as such cannot offer any meaningful advice. Sorry.

My eldest bought a couple fairly recently... one for himself and the other for his girl.

They were Sony and had 9" screens. A little over budget at about £120.

What I can say though is that the picture they show is absolutely superb ! I've never really taken any notice of them before nor have I wanted to own one but for those who are interested in them or want to give them as a present I can only say go for it. I think it would make an excellent pressie Adam. All I'd suggest would be that you actually see the display before you pay for the item.
