Just had the mightiest clap of thunder and fork lightning that made the house lights blink...so I've killed the power to the PC, TV & PS3 and am using the laptop on battery. Don't really mind if the homehub gets fried 'cos if I really need to I can get a spare at short notice.

Am gutted though, was happily playing a game with Newsnight on in the background...now it's eerily quiet!

Breaking news! [LIFTED]! The street lights have gone out! I'm glad all the valuable stuff is disconnected now!

If I disappear suddenly, my electric has gone or the homehub's had it!

My colleagues house got hit by lightening last weekend. It busted his TV. He got a replacement, but still can't get reception. It must have really fried the cable somehwere. :o

I do love a good storm. It's been a very quiet night here though, not even so much as a trickle of rain!

I can remember a few years back.

We had this almighty fork thunder and lighting storm.

Fried everything in the house apart from the Sony Home Cinema!
