Hi all,

I need to print 200+ photos, just 6x4" prints - normally I print my own but I don't fancy printing this many off myself.

So, what does everyone else use, I usually go to a Max Spielman store down the road if I have a large batch to do, but they were a bit pricey last time I did that, so would appreciate any other recommendations. Would consider online too.

Cheers!

I've used boots in the past and they were very good. Truprint also look good, but I haven't actually used them yet.

I find Truprint pretty middle of the road. Perfectly acceptable. Not astonishing, but by no means the worse.
Although I was told by a tall lanky staff member that film negatives are dead robust, and that he's dropped and stood on loads and they've been fine.

I print mine with the canon mg6250. Fairly expensive running costs but the phots are superb IMO.

I usually go down to Tesco, they're fine for what I want. Sometimes I think that there might be something lacking in the depth of the colour but they've always been quite sharp prints.

Thanks, I'm just checking out PhotoBox's website too - they have an opening offer of 40 free prints when you sign up and 6x4" prints from 5p each (depending on quantity). Has anyone used them - what's the quality like?

Also noticed that Aldi do an online photo printing service with similar priced prints to PhotoBox - again, quality might be a concern though.

Any more online ones to recommend?

Well, I've gone for PhotoBox this time round. Taking into account the initial 40 free prints and the £2.99 p+p, it works out at £14.99 for 140 prints. Or around 10.5p a print. You only get the 5p a print price on quantities over 250, I think. I'm sure there's cheaper places out there, but it's not a bad price - and I'd rather have decent quality than the rock-bottom prices. A couple of people on another forum have recommended PhotoBox for their quality so will see if it's as good as they say.

<shameless request>

If anyone wants a referral, PM me your email addresses - each email address will receive an invitation to claim 50 free prints (10 extra from the standard first order), and I also receive an extra 50 prints on my next order for each person who uses it! You can just use the 50 free prints and nothing more, all you have to pay is the £2.99 p+p, which is a pretty good deal.

</shameless request>
:P
