Hullo all,

It is looking quite likely that I won't be paid this week. Since I started on this project my weekly time sheets have been signed by my line manager who sits in the same office as me, but since transferring from the 'project' contract to the 'support' contract I am relying on a guy in London to sign it, I then send the signed time sheet to my employer who pay me at the end of the week.
If I don't get paid because of this, what sort of action can I take? Escalating it isn't an option as similar problems have been escalated with no/little solution.

Also, it's probably worth noting that I'm somewhat out of contract...I signed my last contract sometime last year which ended on 31/3/12, I haven't yet received a new contract...Again, what actions can I take with this?

I am employed by one company, but contracted to another. I have next to no dealings with my actual employer and have discussed all things contractual with the company who I do the work for. As such I have few contacts in the contracting company, those who's details I do have I have contacted, but with little help so far...

Need a bit more info I think.

Even if you don't have a contract, the fact that you've been working there for more than two months means you have some sort of contract. IANAL though an I normally get people to speak to Citizens' Advice Bureau, ACAS and direct.gov website - the latter usually has decent info.

I'd make a formal written complaint if I was you.

This page is extremely helpful about problems in the workplace:

http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/ ... /index.htm

Specifically this page, about raising a grievance:
