Hey, why not just let the cops decide who is guilty. We could even call them "judges"...

Yeah, but when they privatise the police it will by YTS ragamuffins with three hours training being the "judge". ;) :lol:

Unleaded I missed something in the article isn't it about reducing the delay between charging and trial. So having extra police won't help on that front

You'll need a police presence at the panels, courts, transportation/handing over of prisoners... A lot of it will depend on the arresting officer/s participation in these things too.

Which all ready happens. Transportation handing over is all ready done by non police offices IIRC. The police officers required to be in court would be required anyway, just that they will be required sooner rather than later. So no added numbers required.

Bit of a bugger when you're cutting numbers and not hiring though. Same as any job, you've to factor in illness, injury and whatever else too.
