Probably some every other day on average. Some of it is postal but most of it is either leaflets or free newspapers or what not. It all get chucked in the box for recycling, unread.

Probably about 80% is junk that comes with the postie.
It's stuff the companies pay Royal Mail to deliver, but it generally just goes straight in the recycling.
We get a fair amount of take-away leaflets, probably one a week. We also get a begging bag a week at the moment. Since you can never tell whether these come from genuine charities, and they never collect the unused bags, I always assume they don't need my charity and use the bags for rubbish.

Junk mail has two uses for me: to check the mail is still being delivered, and occasionally one or two of the local shops has items on sale. Otherwise useless.

Quite a bit. A lot of it is addressed to the previous owner (who hasn't lived here for five years) or to "the occupier". As we're on the edited electoral register, most companies don't know we exist unless we've had some contact with them.
Do charity collection bags count as junk mail? We seem to get a never ending stream of them coming through the post box (not via the postman).

There's so much behind my door I can't even open it properly. Free papers, takeaway menus, advertising bumf, letters from car dealerships, More Than, etc etc... I'd say anything that comes through the letterbox probably counts. Even if it doesn't, it's still junk that piles up behind my door. I use them for the kitchen bin because they're just the right size. I have never run out!

I get a few bits a week, combination of Walk-Sort (the stuff the postie delvers) and menus and things from local companies that's delivered by some kid.
My all time favourite junk mail was from a psychic who didn't appear to know that the previous tenant that subscribed to her stupid mailing list had moved. They only stopped after I put a un-stamped letter with the return address on it deriding her lack of psychic ability in the post (buggered if I was going to pay the postage).

I mostly get mail for the previous occupiers, some of whom haven't lived here for years. We even got a car tax reminder, who doesn't change their address for their car?!

In the time since then, would you say that: A. The fleas of a thousand camels have descended upon your armpits and multiplied. B. Suppurating boils have erupted at all points of your stunted corpse or C. She can't do curses either?

I don't appear to have seen a significant change in the condition of A and B from normal so I'd have to say C.

I used to get quite a lot. As well as the credit card applications, one day I would get one offering to sort out my debt and the next day an invitation to invest tens of thousands of pounds- I wish they would make their minds up, am I skint or loaded?? I did the same thing with most of them- wrap it all up in the prepaid envelope and send it back. It worked really well and only recently have a few addressed to me started coming through the door again. As for stuff in magazines- bin every time, but there are- as noted- a few local shop leaflets in the papers that are sometimes worth a look.
