Congratulations Heather, and well done to everyone else. A good number of entries this month and an even wider range of interpretations on the theme.

New round to follow shortly, however...

For this month only I have included a vote for less than 3 entries, mainly because it had no influence on the first three places, or even the final standings throughout the other entries. As much as I would like to have as many votes as possible, I don't think it is fair on those who have made an effort to go out and shoot not to be recognised. Of course ranking too many candidates is not workable either, hence only having to choose your top three.

So please keep contributing and voting, but please follow the rules. :)

New topic submitted.

Wow. I wasn't expecting that, to be honest. July was a good round, with some excellent entries. Well done everyone!

I can't really complain, I voted for your entry. (8+)

Well done Heather. An excellent idea. You just lost out on my vote due to my harshness with the focus.

We have a screen door with a fine mesh screen. I'd been photographing a biblically torrential rain shower from the front porch when I noticed the way the drops were forming on the screen. This photo was taken very quickly with the wrong lens, and cropped without mercy from the original frame. That's why it's a bit off sharp. Not one of my best technically, and I'm still surprised I managed to pip Mark.

It just goes to show it's not about the gear or the technicalities in this competition.
