Hi,
Wasn't sure which category to put this under, as it's a network device, accessed by both Windows PCs, Macs and wireless gadgets, (phones, tablet's etc).
OK, so I've got an issue with one of my NAS Drives. I've got two NAS drives, (both WD Mybook Live) one being 2TB and the other is the 3TB model.
The 2TB drive keeps disconnecting itself from the network and then reconnecting itself of it's own accord.
I've tried swapping: The network switch, the network lead and the PSU, and I've tried accessing the drive, (playing videos) from the main PC, my phone, a Samsing tablet and a WD TV Live box, and the video is interrupted on all of the devices.
I'm thinking that the drive is on it's way out, as I can still ping the device when the WD Quick View and Windows Explorer tell me it's disconnected. I have also updated the firmware on both drives, to no avail.
They both have static IP address, (192.,168.1.8 and 9 respectively) and I am at a loss as to what to try next.
I'm going to source a replacement drive to back everything onto, and I'll probably have to look at a warranty repair, unless anyone has any ideas...
Thanks in advance.
