We have an nice cream machine. It has to be one with its own freezer unit as the freezer we have can't accommodate the tubs you get in the cheaper machines. Anyway, we had a shed load of vouchers for Lakeland so bought a machine.

And today, I used it. It's fantastic!

I made more than the tub I had put out for it would accommodate. So, damn, the wife and I had to level it a bit. I've been told to make more.

What you get is an ice cream more in keeping with a gelato than the variety you get in tubs in the shops. We are discussing flavours. Mango and lime sorbet is on the list.

I've thought about an ice-cream machine before, but I simply don't have room in the kitchen for any more gadgets...

By coincidence, I've just bought the ingredients to make the espresso ice-cream off Nigellissima the other night. It looked like a piece of cake to make. No, not cake - easier than cake! Hopefully I'll be able post the results tomorrow when I've done it!

Now that I've calmed down, that does look delicious. Which ice-cream maker did you buy? I'm thinking about buying one for Xmas for my newly wedded sister.

Because it was really really great? Paul, you can delete the other post yourself if you do it before someone else replies. Click on the little Image

Don't remember posting it twice. Been using Tapatalk for a lot of forum stuff recently.

It's a Cuisinart Ice Cream Professional machine. It's a bit noisy when it's churning the mix, but it runs for about an hour depending on how stiff you want the finished product to be.

We've got a yogurt maker, less impressive but we've eaten several litres of yogurt in the last few weeks :)

Try keeping a diary when you go on holiday, and get it published... I'm sure we'd all enjoy reading gullible's travels.
