Ignoring your feelings about the monarchy ;) , do you like what he's done?

It's certainly one of the better portraits I've seen, especially when it comes to the Royals. I can't see much wrong with it.

It's not bad, but not exactly flattering either - it makes her look older than her years with the lines under her eyes. Probably accurate, but you'd expect a bit of artistic licence there!

I was just thinking that. The bags under her eyes make her look as though she's been up all night.

I can't help but think, that in the age of photography, a painted portrait should be about far more than simply accurately capturing a person's likeness.

I quite like it technically, but it looks more like an illustration than a portrait. Perhaps a book cover. She also looks old.
