Whoever does the advertising for Microsoft in Asia is doing some good work:

Asia Market Windows 8 Ads

The first one made me laugh. All rather clever ads though.

Kanye West’s $750,000 Lamborghini Aventador was being returned to Kim Kardashian’s house after being serviced when it ended up trapped between her gates. Reports say the guy who was returning it drove in but didn’t make it all the way through before the gates closed on both sides of the car. A repair shop sent a detailer over to see if it can be buffed out.

Chances are the driver stalled it. High performance cars are notorious for that. However the fact the gates don't have some sort of sensor to stop them closing on things - like, for example, people - is just rubbish.

And probably illegal.

However, it may have had touch-sensors like a lift door, or slippage like some electric windows. It doesn't stop it shutting on you; it just stops it crushing you quite entirely to death.

They did say they were hoping to buff out the damage, so it didn't close with the force of an angry rhino.

But yeah, if I had a shiny car I'd want better sensors on the gate.

WFH at the moment and had This Morning on. They were talking about internet dating and a male guest on the show pulled out an engagement ring that he bought 3 years ago. He said if the ring doesn't fit he finishes with the girl. He also said he states he doesn't like stretch marks on his online profile.

What a dick LOL

Thanks to the internet, and online dating sites, being as narrowly specific as possible is fine. That's what the internet is all about, after all - if you can imagine it, you can Google it. The same goes for potential romantic partners, obviously.

I saw somewhere a program about a guy who was single but would not date a woman bigger than a size 8.

I've never been a size 8, even as a growing teenager :?.
To be honest if he is that vain, he is probably undatable anyway

I have to agree, to me he seemed like a chauvinistic pig.

Talking of size 8 there's a very slim Turkish guy I smoke with at work. He told me the other day he can fit in to kids clothes. He tried a t shirt, it fit so he bought it. Made me chuckle. He's in his 40s

Jim Jefferies: Fully Functional

He's very sweary, and he doesn't doesn't hold back. At all. I laughed so much, I thought I was going to have a seizure.
