Sorry if I'm being a little loose with my placement of this thread in here. Say so if you need to move it. I would like to know if anybody has the skill/time/inclination to build me a website to showcase photos on in a gallery that can serve as a platform to sell them online with either Google checkout or whatever. I can't necessarily offer payment right now (as my whole economy at the moment is cash and I'm here and you're not) but I'm willing to either offer electronic payment when it starts to generate income or free accommo, free transfer and discount equipment rental if you want and ski/board holiday (you just need a flight to Turin, a 180€ lift pass & some spends). If I'm completely out of line, please say so. I can always look online for help, or make do with a Wordpress style solution, or find a trial of a Smugmug type solution. Thanks for reading... |

I can sort something out for you. I'm swamped at the moment, so I can't do speed and I don't have time for design, but I can do the functionality. You still got my number? I'll give you a bell tomorrow or Tuesday or give me a bell if it's more convenient. I'm always happy to do favours for people who are in the alps! |

Thanks for the reply, Tom. Still got the number, but have an Italian number presently so phone calls either way are somewhat expensive. Also, sadly, I'm kinda in a rush. Been approached by some locals to take on more potential business and need to be ready ASAP. I'll have a look at paid for solutions at some point tomorrow. Right now, I'm watching the game... |

There are 1 or 2 pre-built solutions to do this: http://www.ktools.net/photostore/sell-photos-online/ is one of them. I haven't tried it but have read good stuff. Didge. |

I can probably do that for you if you need it quicker than Tom can do, as my evenings are pretty free at the moment. |

I think some people do it via DeviantArt (so you can buy prints etc) or even Flickr, but it's not something I do much with though |

Without wanting to do anyone out of any paid work, a friend's sister (who's a photographer) uses this company to create her site, which is hosted on her own domain... http://www.clikpic.com (apparently, they offer full e-commerce facility as well) The downside is you have to use one of their templates, but looking at some of the examples on there, they're not half bad - clean, professional and don't get in the way of the photos too much. |

Thanks guys, spoken to Jon. But actually looking like I may have other issues now. Really appreciate all the help though. I'll keep you posted. |
