Because she finds it annoying, when there is more than one remote control. Whoever has the remote has control over the TV, if everybody has their own "remote", it is confusing...

c't magazine in Germany made a Lego Porsche GTR3... What do you do, once you've made such a model? That's right, you go to the ADAC proving grounds in Landsberg (equivalent of AA) and use their crash-test facility to put the Lego Porsche GTR3 through an Euro-NCAP crash test! Instead of the normal 64km/h crash speed, they reduced it to 46km/h. The results can be seen below: Crash TestEdit: The full report is in this months c't magazine. But the highlights are: the parts could be re-used, only the left hand side front wheel mount sheered off, otherwise, apart from a few scratches and blue paint from the aluminium "crumple" block, the other parts were still in usable condition. Lego were contacted for comment, but said, in essence, that it was only a bit of fun and in no way reflects upon the quality or stability of its products.

When I first read that I'd assumed it was an actual car chassis with Lego built round it or something, cos stranger things have happened! But it's still cool. That is a ridiculously expensive set by the way.

Bad reporting that!!
The bug has absolutely nothing to do with the web or websites.
It is a file system bug that means ANYTHING that can cause an attempted read constructed in that way will do it.
It could be from a command line, a file, an email or any source of code.

Me too. Thought it was a full sized porsche made from lego. I wonder what would have happened if they had superglued the pieces together.

There has been a Smart car vending machine in Munich since around 2002 / 2003. There are a few others in Germany, or there were, and also in France. As to the rest, no thank you. I don't want a vending machine with a camera anywhere near where I am. That said, I can't remember the last time I used a vending machine. I think there is one for sweets at our local railway station and there is one next to the payment machines in the local subterranian garage, where we park in Osnabrück. But it only does bottled drinks. I can't even remember the last time I drank coffee out of a machine, must be at least 2 decades ago. I brew fresh coffee when I get up and I brew a flask of Redbush tea when I get to work. That covers about 98% of the hot drinks I drink during the week. The odd espresso or capuccino after a meal in a restaurant. My local gym sells health food snacks and drinks over the counter, which are mixed fresh by the staff.

I think I had the original deathadder when Skyrim came out (can't recall if I bought it for any other game prior to that). Very good for what it was. Alas, since meeting swmbo and buying our first home, I've not had a chance to game at all.
I would be interested in a decent mouse for work. I'm still using the MS wireless optical mouse 2000 that was here when I first started about six years ago. Whilst it works fine the majority of the time, it does struggle when I use a mousemat and prefers to be used directly on the desk.

I've got the Asus ROG Gladius at home (the original non-RGB version) and I like it - in fact I was rather narked that they brought out the II because adding the RGB bumped the price by about £20 IIRC. At work I've got a Kensington Pro-Fit full size USB mouse which is practically the same shape and size as the Gladius but for about £15. It does feel cheaper and it's definitely not quite as comfortable but it's perfectly acceptable for work.
