One user lost a days work, because she opened Word, wrote some text, saved it, deleted the text, wrote the text for the next subject, saved it, deleted the text, wrote the text for the next page and so on... Then she called me, because she couldn't find her previous text!
Not a surprise, when you have made 10 incremental saves of a.doc, each time after deleting the previous text and typing in new text... It took me a while to understand what she had done, because she kept saying, that she had saved the text. It was only after letting her carry on and start the next "document" that I worked out what had happened. Luckily she had printed each "document" out, before starting on the next one.
She says she is much less confused by Windows 8 than Windows 7. |
