Here we go! Feels like forever since last year's 6N

Heart aside(which knows that Scotland will walk it), I'm not feeling all that confident about the home nations' chances this time round. So, I'm expecting France to finish top, followed by Ireland and then England. I have an awful feeling that the Italians could finish above both Scotland and Wales this year.

Clearly, I hope my fears are completely unfounded but, no matter, I'm here for the Rugby not just the results; and intend to enjoy every minute.

Am I the only one who's getting tired of England singing the British national anthem when the other home nations get to sing their own national songs?

Well there isn't an official English national anthem so we'd all have to agree on something first.

Neither Scotland or Wales have an "official" anthem either. God Save the Queen is the British national anthem, England (like Scotland and Wales) doesn't have its own official anthem. Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory are obvious replacements, IMO.

OK, I stand corrected in terms of Wales (I didn't realise it was officially recognised as the anthem) - but Scotland has no official national anthem, and neither does England.

That also still doesn't excuse why England should be stuck singing an anthem that represents the United Kingdom, not England.

As a Scot, I find that deeply offensive. :)
