I prefer cars that don't look like insects, so I like 80s/90s motors :)

I've tended to drive what I cold afford or what good deals the were about. The only two cars I ever chose out of anything other than necessity were the Morris Minor and the Crossfire.

I certainly agree with the sentiment that cars that look like insects aren't nice.

Ford had some good Cars in the 80s (RS2000, Capri, Granada). The early 80s Jagd, Renault, the first Golf, the Manta... I could go on, there are a lot of cars that I liked, but the late 80s had a lot of junk, which most people remember.

Yes I remember cars like the Vauxhall Chevette and the early Lada, many were complete crap.

Because they're square.

EDIT

They were square, they're now rust.

Some are, some aren't. Mine is angular, but there's more curves on there than you'd think.

Had a Fiesta XR2 back then - still the best car I've ever had. It was quite fast off the mark, had very fat tyres so brilliant grip and just an allround fun car to drive.

Alas our friend - rust - had the last laugh - although I did get almost 10-years out of it.

Actually many cars were fun to drive like first MR2 and the Golf but many were rust buckets in waiting. Italian cars up to the 80's got into a terrible state simply because of the rust, especially near the coast.

Good looking car, but built out of stainless steel and was very heavy. And that's before all that steam punk stuff was stuck n the front.

There's a v6 turbo conversion for it that I would get if I ever had one.

I think the flux capacitor was in the back?
