I am thinking of getting some waterproof packs to put my iPhone and iPad in. More specifically

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008BMP1BM/?tag=p0e0a-21

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B009A8NYHE/?tag=p0e0a-21

Does anybody use these or alternatives? What do they think of them?

For soft packs those you linked to would probably be suitable, and Aquapac is another good brand. However you've got to look after them and prevent folds from forming on the transparent part of the pouch. Folds (from rough storage and use) quickly become weak.

For something more durable have a look at Otter boxes. Ingress protection is not so good, 2 metres compared to 5 metres, but you would be daft to consider any of these for full underwater use.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

I had considered Aquapacs, though for something more durable I had in mind pelicase's but those are not practical for beaches. I really only want them for basic protection on the beach or by a pool. No chance of me taking then underwater. 8-)
