Radio station contests are as American as cheeseburgers and monster truck rallies. However, since the internet burst onto the scene, radio stations have had to rethink the way they award listeners with top prizes. Enter: "Creepy Charles," a 39-year-old man who won mega-pop-star Taylor Swift's "Biggest Fan Contest," only to be denied the prize.

Kiss FM in Boston had promised the opportunity to meet Swift for a backstage photograph, but canceled the whole thing after Charles, a "fat old guy," won. The reason? Kiss FM believes the contest was tampered with by online outlets such as 4chan and Reddit. A contest originally intended for young fans got the full-on troll treatment, with one 4chan user posting:

"My creepy 39-year-old friend named Charles would like to crush all those girls' dreams (and then sniff Taylor Swift's hair cos he's into that) by winning this instead… Help him crush the dreams of these girls and give him a chance to make a complete ass of himself by blatantly just sniffing her hair with the cameras rolling."

Hence, the radio station killing Charles's dream, although he simply states, "I am a 39-year-old man and I love Taylor so much and don't care that both adults and children mock me for it." Riiiiiight...

There was another last year about Pit Bull the singer agreeing to go to any Walmart store and the winner would be selected by likes on Facebook or something similar. Another campaign started to get him to go to the most remote Walmart which was on Kodiak island, Alaska. He actually went.

Sadly, he also came back.
