CGI wombles is the same as CGI Thomas the tank engine...... just wrong. The also dumb down all the story lines making it inane and repetitive. |

It's the diminished expectations that affect just about everything these days... There's any number of cartoons my nephew watches that are visually horrendous to me since I grew up on stuff that was essentially pre-computer, but he doesn't know any different so doesn't care. Even beyond that they steal visual tricks and styles, but only to hide the fact that they can't be arsed giving it a 'personality' of it's own. The recent comic book cartoons are especially guilty of this. |
