Despite being in Birmingham for most of my life, I've never actually been. Always wanted to go but we never got taken there as kids (little sister managed to go on a school trip!). Going with a girl I've recently met. I know the choc doesn't taste as good since Kraft took over, and I preferred the old-fashioned foil-and-paper wrappers. Has anyone else been? Any hints/tips/suggestions? Was also gonna take a camera with me but wonder if it's OTT? |

Take a camera and camera phone just in case. I have never been but I would imagine that there might be something that will interest you. It might be worth carrying a waiver to stop people rescuing you if you fall into a vat. You can promise to eat your way out. ![]() |

1) Don't fall in the chocolate river. 2) Don't chew the experimental bubble gum. |

It's good fun. When I went there was a guided tour around the factory. You don't get to explore it on your own. Then there was a video thingy to watch. Possibly a ride? Definitely good for the kids too. Got to try some off cuts. |
