I thought I would start a thread for interesting jobs and applications. Could you become an MI6 spy?

I doubt it. I don't have the 'gift of the gab'.

Given that for most of the staff of MI6 that involves sitting in an office and staring at a screen, I think I pretty much could, yes. Yours, chief balloon popper.

It also requires good analytical skills, which can also be done sitting at a desk. I personally would be really lousy as a field agent but probably much better in another role.

MI5 are currently recruiting people with autism/aspergers, how not normal.

Yes but those with Aspergers can be very good at seeing an overall perspective without getting cluttered by detail or focusing in on something that will be missed by others. One of the worlds top cattle specialists has Aspergers because she is able to see the tiny details that made cattle transport easier.

Very normal actually, the attention to detail is a key part of the job and they excel. There is a software testing company near me that hires people with aspergers/autism as far as I know almost exclusively for this very reason
