As ever, just out of curiosity... You can select as many as applicable and change your vote if need be. I obviously had to make some omissions to make the options list fit, so feel free to shout out on anything not included.

And no, I didn't have room for a pie option - put it under 'food and drink' if you must ;)

I think you missed out my favourite genre which is popular science, which is, philosophy/science used to support an argument. For instance: Darwin's Dangerous Idea

I'd put that under 'Society, Politics & Philosophy' if you want, since philosophy is pretty broad. I mean it legitimately covers metaphysics to my mind, so... It's just that when you mention philosophy these days people immediately think, 'beard stroker, possibly smoking a pipe' :)

I think you could easily class sci-fi and fantansy as two seperate genres.
I'd say fantasy as my favourite and comics (manga books specifically) as my second favourite..

Satire, thrillers and history/biographies are probably my favourites.

I have bought cookery books than anything else over the last few years, but I wouldn't pitch it as a favourite.

Crime, thrillers & mystery are my passion but recently got in to a bit of sci fi. Love lycan and vampire books too.

Reference and non fiction.

Biography (anecdotes and context I like, but I can take them or leave them usually)

Comics & Graphic Novels (perfect for jumping right into and many are gold)

Crime, Thrillers & Mystery (more of a recent thing for me, mostly crime, both fictional and factual)

History (anything and everything)

Horror (very occasional this, but some of the zombie books are excellent, for instance)

Humour (anything and everything)

Poetry, Drama & Criticism (I read quite a few books that'll look at a particular TV series, or their themes)

Reference (Art, Architecture & Photography, Business, Finance & Law, Computing & Internet, Scientific, Technical & Medical, Science/Nature, Sports & Hobbies) All sorts!

Science Fiction & Fantasy (these tend to be adaptations of films and shows)

Mostly Sci-Fi & Fantasy although i do enjoy History too.
I would like to see more fiction illustrated,I have a few that are which in my view adds nicely to the enjoyment of a good read.It doesn't have to lavishly done.
This is one of my favourites "clicky".
I have this in large format paperback which i brought in '79 and still enjoy reading.

Good illustration can also help make a turgid and dated story worth reading as in Bernie Wrightson's illustrated version of Frankenstein.

I have that book. The illustrations are incredible. Well worth grabbing a copy if you can.
