I'm looking for a story about tech companies. I'm sure there was something I read about Apple where they used to let the business managers drive development of the company. The managers came up with ideas that they thought were good but there was no innovation. They turned it around by letting engineers drive development and ideas. The engineers new what was possible and knew how to innovate and experiment with new ideas. They ended up creating products that the managers never thought possible and helped with things that the managers didn't even know they needed help with. I'm sure it was Apple. It could have been a different company though. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? |
