You've seen this trick before - cameras one side of an objects big screen on the other, and that kind of makes the object "invisible". Well, Land Rover have done this with their cars - cameras in the radiator grille, and an HUD that projects what the cameras pick up on the wind screen. The result - a seemingly transparent bonnet.

Plenty of American hot rod cars have transparent bonnets, perspex or whatever. This is more 'transparent front end'.
