This is a toughie, as I was very young when it was on. However, maybe one of you will remember it. So far, search engines and YouTube seem to have drawn a blank.

I was (as I remember it) called Zow - it was set in Africa, and was about a tribesman - possibly the son of the chief. It was probably very colonial in its outlook. I remember tribal dancing, some intrigue with a with doctor and some snakes. I expect it was black and white, but we didn't have a colour set so I don't remember.

Like many programmes on BBC's children's TV slot, it was not English, but had a narration dubbed over it.
This would have been around 1970-1974, but it may have been older.

So anyone recall this one? Certainly for older children, though I was allowed to watch it.
