Apparently, it’s his last Newsnight appearance tonight.

Don't care - he's a self-interested tool.

+1 he does seem to like to listen to himself talk.

Jeremy Paxman: ‘Newsnight is made by 13-year-olds’

AKA I'm gonna raise my profile here...

I've just realised he wouldn't be out of place presenting Top Gear

I'm not entirely sure Jeremy Paxman needs to worry about that. He's the most famous journalist in the country as it is, pretty much.

Two men of similar age from similar backgrounds end up with similar views shocker.

Yeah, but having a book out, an upcoming one man show AND allegedly looking at TV offers? I think he's been studying tactics even if he can't remember the dates ;)

Paxman did a very good job of keeping his views out of his day job though, that's the difference.

Evan Davis to replace Jeremy Paxman as Newsnight's lead presenter

Davis's appointment ahead of Newsnight's three incumbent female presenters comes as BBC is criticised for 'gender imbalance'
http://www.theguardian.com/media/2014/j ... emy-paxman

I suspect it's got more to do with who you know than anything to do with gender. And for all we know the other staff couldn't or wouldn't commit to the schedule.
