PCPro Blog Post about closure

I have to agree with a few of the comments on there - it's pitiful if a supposedly IT focused publication can't be bothered to keep their forum software up to date or move to a new system. MInd you, as we who came here from the old place, it's hardly a surprise from Dennis Publishing.

Just left a comment advertising this place. Let's see if the mods let it through.

Well, one of the early comments said they ran their own forum and Tim Danton offered to advertise it if the poster provided a link so I don't see why they wouldn't let this place through.

It looks like he's binned it. The were a lot fewer replies when I made mine and mine isn't among the new ones.

Really? Tims' response is number 3 in the list (responding to number 1) when I look at the page, although there don't appear to have been any new comments added after 12:47.

@Rob – I totally agree that forums hold many advantages over Facebook. I think they will keep on going for years to come, for all the reasons you mention. Is your forum IT-related? I’m happy to update this post with a mention of it, if so.
