yes Although if it was a James Bond's Villains house it would detach from the cliff and turn into a sub - now that would be cool

Nope. Not because of the house, but because I find sea views boring. Put that in the edge of a lake where there's something to see on the other side and I'd love it. |

It does seem a flawed concept to me. All cliffs suffer from erosion at one pace or other, so the property is going to become unsafe at some point. If you could guarantee it would still be there as long as you yourself lived then maybe, but as it stands.. Also, what effect would salt corrosion have on it? And you would have to clean the windows, salt water splatter = encrusted salt. Eventually the windows would look like they had frost on them all the time, and that would spoil the whole point. Also, where are your utilities coming from? Fresh water, power, sewage removal? It's not going to be anywhere near any of the main supply lines, is it? |
