Another reminder today that nothing lasts forever & how precious life is & how fleeting happiness can be. One of the couples I thought were very happy have parted ways after 11 years together. C'est la vie as they say.

Make the most of what you have, appreciate it and be grateful as you never know what the future holds.

For all I know this is exactly what the couple did that you say have now split up.
Things change, no matter how grateful you are of what you have and no matter if you make the most of it or not.

I don't know exactly but I can speculate. He was a lot older than her. They had 2 girls and I thought they were happy then suddenly she's joined Facebook and posts about girlie holidays. He made a comment about a Corfu waiter. He's now blocked me on facebook so I assume he's cutting ties with his soon-to-be-ex wife's friends.

I've not asked her but if and when I see her I'll try and find out.

I don't know how many times ive seen Facebook make a breakup even worse, and not just for those directly involved. It's paranoia central.

Facebook presents a fake version of people's life, which is nothing like their actual life, that's why people look happier, healthier, more settled than you until it all goes to pot.

Thanks. I don't want it to sound too creepy. It's just that my gf is 11 years younger than me and I envision spending a very long time with her. But I always think it's interesting to keep discussing relationships of this nature when things happen. More experience and knowledge can only help IMO.

Leeds and ernie, I just watched ep 2 last night and damn if I'm not sure if I can make it all the way to the end of the series. I used to love it, but Jacks is freaking me out! :oops:

11 years isn't much. This was more like 20 years. There was 15 years between my Mum and Step Dad and they were married over 20 years.

Re SOA - This is the final series, so it's likely to get properly intense. It certainly wasn't holding back last year :oops:
