Hi,
I decided today to buy a book about the recently deceased self-titled King of Pop, and so headed for my local bookshop to see what was on offer (so many have appeared recently, one has to be worth a read). I found what looked like a good one, titled Soldier, and given the picture on the cover, where he looked stern yet relaxed, I thought I would get a serious, revealing and incisive analysis of the controversial singer’s life, work and alleged kiddy diddling exploits.

Imagine my surprise (and crashing disappointment) when I got home to find that I had picked up the autobiography of the ex head of the Army, General Sir Mike Jackson GCB, CBE, DSO, DL. I was so upset, I could not even see the funny side. Do I win five pounds?

ROFL, nice one.

I'll be sure to watch out for that one :D

Did you take it back yet? I'd love to hear their reaction when you tell them what happened

It will undoubtedly be a far more interesting read.

All there is to say really. Did you not think to read the blurb?

Anyway, at least it gave you a funny story to tell.

I'd say so also

I don't care much for Jacko, pretty much all of his private life is public knowledge now due to people like McCauley Caulkin/Mark Ronson, his family/staff and the press

Much more interesting to read about someone who had genuine secrets to keep from prying eyes

I love it when people take these things so seriously. Thanks for the extra laugh.
