Okay.
I need to get a helmet for my upcoming snowboarding trip, as I'm not stupid enough to ride a mountain without one.
I was planning on getting some Dragon NFX Schoph goggles (as I went to school with the bloke that designed them) and any open face helmet to go with them. However a friend has introduced me to some complete face helmets by Ruroc which I really like. The question is which one should I go for. I've discounted red and blue as I don't like the way they look, and my friends are tring to talk me out of white and green as they'd match my jacked and 'only skiers have kit that fully matches'.
So what do you all think?
The jacket and trousers I have are shown below. (And no, that's not me in the photo riding a mountain without a helmet.)

These are the options:

I'd go with Number 2 or 4, then you'll look like a Combine soldier :D

I went with 4, but 2 would do.
Also, don't Redbull use them in the pitlane?
Or get the white one and be a stormtrooper.

Apparently a couple of the F1 teams do. At first glance they're very expensive, but that's because they include goggles. They're actually about the same price in total as buying a seperate helmet and goggles.

5 looks a little "Half Life"ish to me, but yeah, I'll go with the Storm Trooper option.

They don't do a white helmet with white goggles.

Only boarders wear pants around their ankles etc.

Who cares what skiers/riders wear. I'm saying 3 is badass. But personally, I would hate to be encased like that on the mountain. Makes more sense for motorsport to me. How are you gonna get gnarly face pow in the trees if your face is covered??

For regular helmets, I'm a Smith Optics man.

You don't have to wear the mouth mask part if you don't want.

It's bloody annoying. I keep changing my mind every five minutes.
I'm starting to think the white helmet/green goggles may be too much white with the jacket.

Same here.

When I rode a motorbike, I always wore a full face helmet, even on a chopper. The problem is, I had a few friends who had had accidents and they kept their old helmets as trophies. On most of them the chin guard was ground down to almost nothing, where they had slid along the road. I would therefore always take a full face helmet, when I do something that needs a helmet.

It's not just protection. The last time I went on a maountain with a scarf (or something silimar) round my mouth, it got wet and cold quite quickly from my moist breath. These masks prevent that by channeling your breath out of side vents.
