It's not often you get a year really where there's multiple films for almost anyone's tastes, but this might be one of them. Here's just a few that have serious potential and then there's a brilliant list and brief details and pics in the link below ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That last one sees Ian playing a certain Mr Holmes... http://www.aintitcool.com/node/69908 You've got all the obvious comic book ones that I'll be interested in, but the cyborg shows look great (Chappie, Ex Machina), and I'm dying to see what JJ can do with Star Wars (even though I'm not strictly a fan), where they'll take Jurassic Park (the trailer had a slight Apes vibe to it), Mad Max... It's the best release schedule I've seen in years even if a lot of them are reboots! |

I'm looking forward to Amazon getting some decent back catalogue stuff on Prime Instant, the selection is pretty pitiful at the moment, at least here in Germany. But it is still allegedly better than Netflix Germany, although Maxdome is the leader as they have had their streaming film offer for nearly a decade and have most major films quickly after release and the US series. That said, I find myself watching fewer and fewer import TV series from America - funnily, apart from BBC documentaries, we get naff all from the UK; I think the last UK series we got was that one where wormholes keep opening up and dinosaurs keep coming out and eating people... As to new films in the cinema, I haven't heard of much so far that has really grabbed my attention. "A Hells Angels under brothers" sounds interesting The second Karl Morc film Schändung in German, Fares Fares was excellent in the first film as Assad Bonne nuit Papa 300 Words in German Jupiter Ascending |

We might actually get Snowpiercer this year!!! As Mr. Big D says, Jupiter Ascending looks good to me too. Tommorowland Chappie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2 - if only because I liked the first so much and I'd really like this to be as good. There's likely a whole lot more that I'll be able to add to this list, but it's early, I hate mornings and I'm not really fit for thinking too much right now. (8+) Mark EDIT - Crimson Peak |

There's some cracking new films on Netflix at the moment. Quite looking forward to seeing the Star Wars film but nothing else on the radar. I'll keep following my favourite actors and actresses. |

I've been a Prime member for years and Video is now part of the offer. I wouldn't pay for Netflix etc. With the price increase on Prime this year, I am seriously thinking about cancelling, as I can't take it without the video offer for less money but there again it works out to under 5€ a month. That said, I will admit that we got our money's worth out of it over Christmas and New Year. But generally we don't watch enough to justify Maxdome or Netflix. Netflix seems to currently have the worst offer as well, according to reports. Of course, Maxdome is the leader, they have been offering streaming video services for around a decade and it shows in what they can offer. |

Personally I think Netflix is great value for money. For £6 a month I use it and also have 3 of my friends on my account too. As long as there isn't more than 2 of us using it at the same time which has never happened to me. |

Saw the trailer for Chappie, it looks particularly bad. Short Circuit meets District 9 via Real Steel |

Absolutely nothing about the Jupiter Ascending trailers gave me any hope for that film. |

Agreed but Cloud Atlas looked [LIFTED] in the trailer, the Wachowski siblings have earned one pass. American Sniper looks like it could be all right. |

I'm lucky if I get to the cinema twice in a year. This year Star Wars is on the list. I can't think of anything else that'll make me go. |
