It's almost believable.

It might be, if the link wasn't dead!

Working for me at the moment :?

William Shatner Beams Aboard As Captain For Star Trek: The Cruise
http://sciencefiction.com/2015/08/16/wi ... ek-cruise/

Is that wise? If Shatner doesn't kill the Trekkies, the rest of the actors might kill him

I'm calling this foreign, eccentric, and definitely not normal ;)

I remember that episode - watched it for the first time on Netflix IIRC. It was completely different but yet enjoyable.

Getting a 403 Forbidden error on that link for some reason. Might just be the work firewall being picky. So, which episode is it?

I get that sometimes with cinemablend - sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.

clicky (to avoid spoilers)

Yes - I liked it. It stood out at the time, and the idea that Picard had that lifetime in his memory for the rest of his life is fascinating. They liked to get him to play that whistle every now and then in following episodes. It was always there in his quarters too.

They tried the same trick in DS9 - O'Brien got a 20 year prison sentence, which was implanted in his mind so he had the experience with him. They never followed that up. Potentially more damaging for him than Picard's experience, but that was never followed up. Could have added more to the character - recovery, rehabilitation.

It's certainly up there as one of the better TNG episodes. They won an award for it IIRC.

Totally agree with him.

Also loved the Chief's episode, but for me seeing Picard get to live that life (especially in contrast to seeing him with his brother in France) was fascinating.

Meanwhile Fox is presumably making a fortune off Batman: Dead End - they can't even use Bats themselves, but they've certainly licensed their own IP in it...

Movie studios need to get ahead of their own fcuking lawyers.

I think they should just get him to re-record all his Picard dialogue in his native Yorkshire accent.
