Paramount Sets Phasers To "Oh Hell No!" Files Injunction Against Crowdfunded 'Axanar' Movie

Well that's a bit of a bugger. I've watched the trailer/teaser for Axanar and it looks frankly amazing, certainly of the same or better calibre than the existing series. They've even got at least one guy from Enterprise in it (the guy who plays Vulcan ambassador Soval) reprising his character.

I suspect one of their issues with it is that it's clearly set back in the 'original' timeline and effectively jettisons the current film franchises changes. The ships, uniforms and Klingon makeup are definitely more in keeping with TOS than the newer films.

Bastards. I was looking forward to that.

Maybe there isn't enough [LIFTED] lens flare in it.

I can't help thinking that managing to raise over $1m has raised some eyebrows. It could loom as if they are making money from the project, and that starts to look like they are pushing the goodwill a little too far.

Yeah, it works now, but there was a very crude hack page this morning lol. In typical fashion it made little sense.

I ended up finding an article (not sure if it was the same one) but it felt more like an advert for a data recovery company than anything else.
