Congratulations. Amsterdam is a great place.
Have fun learning Dutch, although in my experience a fair few people switch to English when they twig you aren't a native speaker because they want to practice themselves - you may have to be persistent if you want the practice.

Well, so far so awesome! I backed the Exploding Kittens kickstarter and just went along to the Amsterdam playtest. Met a load of people, drank beer, played card games and had fun Also, found a couple of decent looking apartments that are quite cheap and right in the centre of Amsterdam. Work is good too. My laptop was delayed so only got it this afternoon but things are looking good so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What are you getting? A MacBook Pro? I'm guessing you will be continuing with iOS development. How cheap is cheap for flats? In Woking I was paying around 1300€ for a 49M² flat, here in Bramsche I was paying 350€ for 110M²... Have fun and I really hope it works out for you. Moving to the continent was a great step for me.
