Has anybody bought one recently that wasn't

  1. crap
  2. cripplingly expensive

I live in a mid-terrace and would like to get the hell out of the 2.4Ghz band but none of my equipment has dual-band capabilities.

I have had good experience with AVM Fritz! products - my current router is their high end VOIP router with integrated DECT telephony. They do a 5Mhz USB stick, it costs around 22€ over here...

Found it on Amazon UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/AVM-FRITZ-WLAN- ... =avm+fritz!

Oooo good call. I'm in Saxony in a few weeks - I might see if I can get some delivered

Edit: Ordered three of them. I've ordered a Fritz!Box as well

There's a joke there that is so obvious that even J_V wouldn't attempt it ;)

You're right, Jon. Too obvious.

The only experience I have with Fritz! products is some ISDN kit, I had back in the late nineties.

Driver support was a bit rubbish, but I can't hold that against them, as all driver support was a bit rubbish back then!
