I was given an Audio Technica Sound Burger (funny 1980s portable record player) years and years ago by someone who I can only describe as a "tinkerer". Anyway, it always was a it wobbly speed wise when it played records, and I suspected that the drive belts we're a bit off.

Well, I opened it up today, and yes, the drive belts are very floppy. But also there are two potentiometers that you can use to tune the speed, and it seems that they are damaged. The little screw bits that you'd use to adjust the thing look like they had been poked out. So instead of a fairly simple replace a drive belt job, it looks like I'll have to find somewhere that can fix or replace the potentiometers as well. My soldering is just not up to this kind of thing.

Slightly annoyed, as I like the thing and I would like to get it working again.

I've only ever done it with a chicken so far, but if required I wouldn't have any problems doing it with other animals at all.
