Grainy as all hell (no wonder lol, and subject to change), have you got a desktop pic?

It's too big to post but it's an image taken from the ISS of the moon rising above the horizon.

Standard Surface background, I haven't bothered changing the manufacturers default, yet.

That said, I rarely see the desktop, I usually have half a dozen or more windows spread across the desktop.

Do you have icons on the desktop? I don't use the desktop at all, just the wastebin, that's it.

I've got about 7 or 8 pictures, mainly Star Trek based, but there is one solar eclipse picture and a photo of me, (the wife likes it!) and they are set to change on the 3 monitors every 5 minutes or so.

I've just got one of the standard Yosemite background photos showing Half Dome Rock.

This one in fact:

I have a handful of folders - stuff to do and test out (damn you, Computer Active tips!). Everything else is on the taskbar.

Home Mac - Yosemite default
Home Windows Partition - Slideshow of Elite Dangerous screen captures
Work - Surface/Windows built-in landscape images

I generally don't change the background as I tend not to see it often.

Mid-dark grey on all my Macs, so that it doesn't mess with my perception of the colours in my design applications.

I like to have my computer interfaces as plain as possible, because its what is in the various windows on my computer that is important not the interface itself.

At the moment I'm using the Blizzard Battle.net background:

They've got quite a few pretty good StarCraft 2 ones on there that I've used before but the battlenet one is neutral.

Precisely, a good OS is there to let you do things, if it is doing its job properly, you hardly notice it... It seems to be something a lot of people (including OS designers at times) forget.
